Odell Eagles Launch Odell Flight 7v7 & Football Development Program

The Odell Eagles are proud to announce the debut of Odell Flight, a new football development initiative designed to expand opportunities for young athletes in Cabarrus County beyond the traditional tackle football season.

Built under Odell Recreation, Odell Flight was created to provide a structured, developmental pathway for athletes looking to improve their skills, confidence, and understanding of the game year-round. The program officially launches with Spring 7v7 competition and Winter training camps, serving athletes ages 6–14.

A Natural Extension of the Odell Eagles Program

For years, the Odell Eagles have focused on building athletes through strong coaching, discipline, and a positive team culture. Odell Flight represents a natural evolution of that mission—offering offseason development that complements fall tackle football without replacing it.

While the Odell Eagles will continue to compete in Pop Warner tackle football during the fall season, Odell Flight provides an opportunity for athletes to train and develop during the winter and spring in a fast-paced, non-contact environment.

More Than Just 7v7

Odell Flight is designed to serve all positions, not just skill players. In addition to 7v7 competition, the program includes football development opportunities such as skills training and dedicated offensive and defensive line camps. This approach ensures that every athlete—whether a quarterback, receiver, defensive back, or lineman—has access to age-appropriate instruction and development.

Training sessions focus on fundamentals, technique, football IQ, and confidence, with an emphasis on teaching and repetition rather than hype or shortcuts.

At the core of Odell Flight is a simple philosophy: Developed, Not Discovered.

Rather than chasing exposure or quick results, the program is built around long-term growth. Coaches prioritize proper technique, understanding the game, and building habits that translate to success during the fall tackle season and beyond.Odell Flight is open to both new and experienced players and is designed to support athletes at every stage of their football journey.
